Case 4:
Field survey of damage to Omori Bridge caused by Typhoon No.18 (Typhoon Songda) of 2004
At the request of the Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau, we conducted a field survey of damage to Omori Bridge and its adjoining roads and to Omori rock shed caused by Typhoon No.18 (Typhoon Songda) of September 2004. Some main girders of the bridge had collapsed, and tilting and twisting of bridge piers and breaking of reinforcements were discovered.
